Bishop Leroy Watson III: A Legacy of Faith and Service

Born June 12, 1964, to Margery J. and Leroy Watson Jr. in Mount Clemens, Michigan, Leroy Watson III's journey of faith began long before his formal ministry. After graduating from Mt. Clemens High School, he pursued excellence at Morehouse College followed by specialized training at the Columbia School of Broadcasting and Columbia University.

Ministry Journey

Bishop Watson's calling to preach manifested at just 18 years old, and by 25, he had stepped into his pastoral purpose. His spiritual leadership path includes remarkable service as:

  • Associate Pastor of The Temple of Deliverance in Atlanta, Georgia
  • National Officer and Assistant Crusade Director of Deliverance Centers of America under Bishop Joe Price's mentorship
  • Youth President overseeing 110 churches in the Central Georgia Church of God In Christ, where he revitalized youth ministry under Bishop J.D. Husband
  • Administrative Assistant to the Jurisdictional Prelate of Southeast Georgia, serving Bishop Benjamin Collins by managing jurisdictional affairs

His ministry extends far beyond church walls. As founder of Cathedral Vineyard Ministries in Atlanta and Presiding Prelate of Inner-Faith Fellowship, Bishop Watson has established a global spiritual footprint with churches across Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and internationally in India and Pakistan.

Media Pioneer and Community Leader

Bishop Watson's vision led him to become Co-Owner and Vice President of WXLL 1310 AM Radio Station, transforming it into Decatur's premier gospel station. His expertise in broadcasting has amplified his message throughout the United States and abroad.

The community recognizes his leadership through his roles as:

  • Former Vice President of the NAACP Gwinnett Chapter
  • Creator of an innovative Education Task Force
  • Youth sports coach and mentor
  • Chaplain for Shiloh High School's Varsity Football Team

Family Foundation

At the heart of Bishop Watson's ministry stands his family. He and Elect Lady Gloria J. Watson have nurtured a family devoted to faith and service, including their children: Estella Clark, Margery M. Watson, Crystal D. Watson, Devotion J. Watson, Samuel L. Muse, Gloria J. Watson, and Leroy Watson IV.

Living Testament

"God is Yet Alive; He still sits upon His throne and One Touch from Jesus can change your entire life." This personal motto isn't just words for Bishop Watson—it's the practical foundation of his counseling, youth development, leadership training, and evangelism work.

Churches and organizations consistently seek his wisdom for seminars, revival meetings, and transformational teaching. With his unique combination of theological depth and practical community engagement, Bishop Watson continues to demonstrate that divine answers exist for humanity's deepest needs.

Elect Lady Gloria J. Watson: A Tapestry of Faith, Family, and Service

Born May 7, 1966, to Freddie Lee and Georgia Mae Middlebrooks in Ocilla, Georgia, Gloria J. Watson's life journey reflects a beautiful interweaving of spiritual calling, family devotion, and community service. After graduating from Wilcox County High School in Rochelle, Georgia, she pursued higher education at Valdosta State and Georgia State University before completing her degree at Shorter University.

Sacred Partnership

On Valentine's Day 1987, Gloria joined her life with Bishop Leroy Watson III in holy matrimony, embracing both the role of wife and First Lady of Cathedral Vineyard Ministries. Their union blessed them with four children—Crystal Darnell, Devotion Jeanette, Gloria Jean, and Leroy Watson IV—while also opening their hearts and home to raise two nieces, Estella Darnell Watson and Margery Marie Watson, and nephew Samuel Livingston Muse.

  • Executive Director of Camelot Adult Day Care Service, supporting seniors and families

Her vocal talents culminated in her 2002 debut solo project, "Gloria Watson Praise Live," and collaborative recordings with Grammy-nominated and Stellar award-winning artists like Douglas Miller.

Elevation to Elder

Her journey continues to inspire those seeking to balance family devotion with spiritual calling and community impact.

Elder Theresa Montgomery: A Journey of Faith and Divine Purpose

Born January 25, 1970, in Atlanta, Georgia, Elder Theresa Montgomery emerged from the spiritual foundation laid by her parents, Pastor Clarence and Mother Verna Montgomery. Though facing the profound loss of her son Marquez Montgomery in 2010, her resilience and faith continue to inspire all who know her.

Educational Foundation

Elder Montgomery's academic journey began in the DeKalb County Public School System, culminating with her graduation from Towers High School in 1988. Rather than immediately pursuing higher education, she entered the workforce, gaining valuable real-world experience before completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Bauder College in 2011.

Early Spiritual Development

Remarkably, Elder Montgomery accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at just three years old, beginning a lifelong commitment to ministry. By her teenage years, she had already developed multifaceted leadership skills through service in:

  • The Sunbeam choir, nurturing her gift of worship
  • The Junior Usher Board, developing her attention to order and service
  • The Youth Sunday School Committee, honing her teaching abilities
  • The Food Ministry, where she mastered kitchen operations, financial stewardship, and the honored tradition of serving the Pastoral Table

Spiritual Transformation and Ministry Calling

In 1997, a pivotal moment occurred when Elder Montgomery rededicated her life to Christ and joined Cathedral Vineyard Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Leroy Watson III. Within this spiritual home, her administrative and ministerial gifts flourished as she served in progressively responsible roles:

  • Member of the Secretarial Pool
  • Secretary of the Music Department
  • Sunday School Teacher
  • Minister of the Gospel

Elevation to Elder and Associate Pastor

On September 9, 2018, her ministry journey reached a significant milestone with her ordination as an Elder and appointment as Associate Pastor of Cathedral Vineyard Ministries. These sacred responsibilities reflect both the congregation's recognition of her spiritual authority and her own commitment to servant leadership.

Ministry Philosophy

Elder Montgomery approaches her pastoral duties with a rare combination of humility and unwavering conviction. Her personal testimony speaks volumes: "To be used by God to help guide others to Christ and serve her church and pastor Bishop Leroy Watson III, is the greatest service that I have done, and I will not let go of this call for God has chosen me."

Through her life and ministry, Elder Theresa Montgomery exemplifies how early spiritual foundations, combined with perseverance through personal tragedy, can blossom into powerful leadership that transforms lives and communities.
